Early Head Start (Birth to Age 3 + Expectant Mothers)

This program serves expectant mothers and children from birth to age three, offering: - Health & nutrition screenings and leadership of nutritious meals. - Mental health supports and referrals as needed. Parent engagement opportunities: your involvement is key.

Social service supports and access to community resources. Priority is given to children with disabilities, foster children, and families experiencing homelessness. Services are free for eligible families.

Head Start & Preschool (Ages 3-5)

Our preschool and Head Start offerings focus on preparing children for school success. These

programs build early literacy, language, mathematics, and social–emotional skills and integrate family partnerships and health supports for whole family success.

Our Curriculum & Approach

We utilize the Second Step® curriculum to support children’s social emotional development, helping them build skills in emotion management, empathy, problem solving, and responsible decision making. We strengthen our home–school partnership through ReadyRosie™, a family engagement curriculum offering research based videos and activities that families and children can do together at home. At MTECDC, we aim to provide a whole child approach, embracing health & wellness, family engagement, learning readiness, and community collaboration.
